Leading in Difficult Times with Dr. Miguel Núñez

Summary:

Dr. Miguel Núñez challenged leader servants to recognize that the greatest need in difficult times is not better strategies but transformed leaders. While acknowledging a widespread crisis of leadership in churches and society, he emphasized that leadership is rooted more in character than competency.

Drawing from Scripture, he reminded participants that disciples become like their teachers, making the personal lives of leaders inseparable from the ministries they lead. Training future leaders therefore begins with forming faithful people whose character precedes their function.

Dr. Núñez urged leaders to depend continually on the Holy Spirit rather than education or experience alone, modeling Christ’s humility, gentleness, and obedience. He also described the cultural realities that make leadership increasingly challenging, including individualism, pragmatism, relativism, and social fragmentation.

Using biblical examples such as Moses standing in the gap for Israel, he called leaders to become courageous intercessors who influence history rather than merely observe it. The session concluded with an appeal to surrender personal agendas, follow God’s calling wherever He leads, and faithfully model Christ for the next generation.
