Three Years Together: Celebrating the Work, Continuing the Mission

Summary:

November’s First Monday Gathering marked three years since GProCongress II in Panama and revisited the vision of “All Pastoral Leaders Trained and Every Pastor a Trainer.” Reported training activities included 161,273 pastoral leaders trained across 91 countries, with 613 new trainers of pastors raised. The goals for 2030 remain one million pastoral leaders better trained, 100,000 new trainers, and collaboration in 100 countries.

Testimonies illustrated the work behind these numbers. In Malawi, Dr. Jamali Milanzi described equipping trainers through shared teaching and weekly discipleship. Updates from Venezuela, Cameroon, and Mozambique highlighted growing relationships, shared resources, denominational barriers, and challenges involving distance, finances, and literacy.

Robby Richard explained how MLTPL 100 (“Multiplying Local Trainers of Pastoral Leaders”) brings local trainers from formal, nonformal, and informal sectors together to develop and implement locally owned plans. Dr. Ramesh Richard emphasized preparing pastoral leaders to preach, live, think, and serve biblically, drawing on each sector’s strengths. Participants shared answered prayers, gave thanks for God’s faithfulness, and were invited to continue in prayer for trainers, pastoral leaders, churches, and believers carrying the gospel into communities.

Reflective Questions

  1. Where have you seen God’s faithfulness in your pastor training ministry this year, and what story illustrates the impact behind your reported numbers? Share it with us: click here.
  2. How might working with trainers from other pastor training sectors strengthen your ministry? What assumptions or barriers might make that collaboration difficult?

Action-Oriented Questions

  1. Who is one pastoral leader you could begin equipping to train others, and what opportunity could you give that person to teach alongside you?
  2. What step could you take this month to connect with pastor trainers from another sector, identify available resources, and address a shared local training need?
