1.Who You Are – In a few sentences, tell us about yourself and/or your ministry and what you do to serve pastors.

Erik serves as president of China Partner, which exists to serve the church in China. 

Our Vision (what we see): We envision Chinese with a deeper love for Christ and a better understanding of God’s word so they can spread the Gospel throughout China and the world.

Our Mission (why we exist): To serve the church in China as they fulfill the Great Commission.

Our Strategy (how we get it done):

1. Training current and future church leaders with needed ministry tools.
2. Providing Pastor Packs: theological study books, Christian literature and Study Bibles 
3. Linking ministries and individuals outside China with churches in China and encouraging partnerships with God’s mission in China
4. Partnering with churches in China to reach the next generation for Jesus

2. Why Pastoral Leaders Matter – Why is training pastors a priority in your ministry or work?

The greatest need in the Chinese church is for more pastors and church leaders to be trained to reach the next generation for Jesus Christ. China Partner exists to serve the church in China to help meet this need.

3. Developing Pastor Trainers – How are you helping raise up new trainers of pastors where you serve?

By investing in the next generation of church leaders and pastors who will train the following generation of church leaders and pastors. We train the trainers.

4. Better Together – Why does collaboration across pastor-training sectors matter to your work?

We invite pastors from around the world to join our short-term teaching teams so that the Chinese pastors get a glimpse of what God is doing outside of China. At the same time, we learn much from them. We learn from each other.
