1. Who You Are – In a few sentences, tell us about yourself and/or your ministry and what you do to serve pastors.   

Founded in 1979, BeMultiplied (“Biblical Equipping Multiplied”) equips pastors and church leaders around the world through biblically grounded training that is both faithful to Scripture and adaptable to local contexts. By multiplying servant leaders who train and disciple other leaders, BeMultiplied fosters sustainable, indigenous networks that strengthen the global church. With a servant-hearted approach and commitment to contextualization, BeMultiplied partners with pastors and church leaders in some of the world’s most underserved regions—helping them handle the Word of God faithfully, cultivate long-term growth, and lead their communities with humility and strength.

2. Why Pastoral Leaders Matter – Why is training pastors a priority in your ministry or work?

Pastoral leaders shape the theological health and spiritual maturity of the church. In many regions of the world, particularly across the Global South, where Christianity is growing rapidly, the number of churches is expanding faster than access to theological training. The Global Pastoral Training Alliance reports that 3.7 million churches lack a pastoral leader with essential biblical and theological training.

Without biblically grounded formation, leaders can be vulnerable to doctrinal confusion, cultural syncretism, or shallow discipleship. Training pastors is, therefore, foundational to long-term church health. When shepherds learn to interpret and apply Scripture with depth and care, congregations grow in maturity, resilience, and mission. Faithful leaders strengthen local churches, and healthy churches sustain the witness of the global body of Christ.

3. Developing Pastor Trainers – How are you helping raise up new trainers of pastors where you serve?

BeMultiplied intentionally develops trainers through a multiplication framework rooted in 2 Timothy 2:2. Rather than functioning as permanent instructors, we model facilitation-based, discussion-driven theological engagement and gradually transfer responsibility to local leaders.

Participants are equipped not only with biblical content but also with reproducible training processes, contextualization tools, and mentoring support. Through supervised practice and relational investment, leaders move from learner to co-facilitator to trainer of new groups.

This approach integrates adult learning principles, dialogical pedagogy, and missiological sensitivity, ensuring that training movements become locally led, culturally appropriate, and sustainable.

4. Better Together – Why does collaboration across pastor-training sectors matter to your work?

The global need for biblically equipped pastors is too great for any single model to address alone. Formal seminaries, local churches, mission agencies, and non-formal training ministries each contribute essential strengths.

BeMultiplied complements formal theological institutions by bringing accessible, in-country training to leaders who cannot relocate for study. Collaboration strengthens theological depth, reduces duplication of effort, and fosters a more integrated ecosystem of pastoral formation.

As Christianity’s center of gravity continues shifting toward the Global South, partnership across sectors ensures that growth in numbers is matched by growth in biblical integrity and leadership maturity.
