Summary:
The first FM59 gathering of 2026 opened with gratitude for God’s work in 2025 and a renewed focus on the GProCommission’s mission to see every pastor leader trained and every pastor a trainer. Centered on the theme “Not Without Your Presence” from Exodus 33, the meeting emphasized that ministry effectiveness and faithfulness depend on God’s presence rather than human effort or success. Speakers highlighted that God’s people are defined by His presence, not by outcomes, geography, or growth alone. Through teaching, prayer, and reflection, participants were challenged to resist pursuing ministry success without intimacy with God. The discussion underscored spiritual disciplines such as prayer, solitude, Scripture meditation, worship, and journaling as essential practices for remaining rooted in God’s presence. Looking ahead, the GProCommission challenged participants to raise one new trainer, pursue locally led pastor-training initiatives in 100 countries, and work collaboratively toward the goal of 100,000 trainers equipping one million pastors—always moving forward together, and never apart from God’s presence.
Discussion Questions
Reflective
- Where might you be experiencing ministry “success” that risks drifting from deep dependence on God’s presence?
- What personal practices help you remain attentive to God’s presence amid leadership responsibilities?
Action-Oriented
- What is one concrete step you can take this year to cultivate God-centered formation in those you train?
- If you were fully confident of God’s presence, what new risk or initiative in pastor training would you pursue in 2026?
